Our Purpose
LVEP's mission is to empower adults in Berkeley, Jefferson, and Morgan Counties to reach their full potential as individuals, parents, workers and citizens, through confidential and free literacy tutoring by trained volunteers.
Our motto is to improve people's lives, one page at a time. -
LVEP Programs
Our Basic Literacy students are those whose first language is English. These are students who, for a variety of reasons, need to improve their Basic reading and writing skills.
Our English as a Second Language (ESL) students come from a variety of backgrounds. LVEP encourages preserving a person's native language as they pursue learning another. -
How To Help
LVEP is seeking new volunteers. We have adult learners waiting for help. COME JOIN US in making a difference in the lives of people in the Eastern Panhandle.
Your donation to the Literacy program improves your community and has a powerful impact on the lives of our learners and their families.
